TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF)
This autism awareness course is designed to provide those who care for individuals with autism, as well as healthcare, teaching and social care professionals, with an in-depth understanding of autism, its spectrum disorders, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.
Autism is a very complex developmental disorder that takes time to understand. This course explains in the most simple and effective way, the needs of autistic people, how autism affects social and emotional development, and how to provide support for those with autism.
How do you know when a person has autism? Both mild and severe symptoms can be displayed, and this course helps you to identify common traits of autism, taking you through the screening and diagnosis process in detail. You will also develop key communication skills that are ideal for those who work in special needs teaching.

Our TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF) Qualification course is designed for people who either are, or wish to become, a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant.
Units Covered
Unit 1 – Understand Autism
Unit 2 – Understand communication and social interaction with individuals with autism
Unit 3 – Understand hot to support and manage transitions for individuals with autism
Unit 4 – Understand positive behavioural support for individuals with autism
Unit 5 – Understand safeguarding and resilience in the context of autism
Unit 6 – Understand the therapeutic interventions and support available for individuals with autism and co-occuring conditions.

Assessment
Assessments are a great way of checking your progress allowing you to apply your learning to real-world situations. Through the TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF) Qualification, you will be assessed by a series of written assignments, which are submitted to and marked by your tutor.
All assignments are set by TQUK. Upon verification of the activities, exercises and assignments, a certificate of achievement will be awarded by TQUK, as confirmation that your written work has met all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for the course thus passing your recognised qualification in full.
Please note: There is no examination required for this course.
