AELP Workshop

Effective Bid Writing - Improve Bid Writing Skills and Increase Success Rates

Make your bids and tenders stand out from the competition by improving your bid writing skills

This event is a re-run of the December workshop, being organised due to popular demand

Chair: Mike Cox
, Operations Manager, AELP
Facilitated by Debi Coles, Partner, Never Second

Overview
The workshop will provide delegates with tips about how to write a winning bid, discuss common mistakes and how to avoid them.

The workshop will include an overview of what bid evaluators are looking for and the essential skills required to make a bid response stand out from the competition.

Skills covered will include how to:

  • Write in a clear concise way
  • Focus on benefits and not just features
  • Develop positive statements of scope
  • Clearly articulate roles and responsibilities
  • Summarise bids effectively

Delegates will be given an opportunity to practise the skills that they learn in the workshop by carrying out practical exercises in break out groups.

Who should attend?

Any organisation that is involved in winning work through competitive tender processes and/or is required to submit bids and quotes for work on a regular basis.

Delegates should be those individuals who have responsibility for drafting bid documents and/or contributing to them.

Delegate Fees

AELP Member rate: £145.00 + VAT
Non-Member rate: £245.00 + VAT

Feedback from delegates who attended the previous workshop in December 2014:
'Excellent day, well delivered, will be really helpful.'

'I've had a few light bulb moments today! I now understand why I've missed out on my last bid. Painful, but enlightening. Thanks.'

'Really useful! Not only in terms of benchmarking our issues/challenges with those of others but good bit of 'CPD' to reinforce good practice. Will help ensure we don't get complacent with bid writing.'

'Not having any experience in bid writing, I thought it would be difficult to understand, but it was a great day and I feel much more informed now'.

'I feel I now have a clearer understanding of the process for bid writing and how to organise it and feel more confident to write one.'
