We have put together a programme for those unemployed, receiving benefits, 19 or over and living in the COunty Durham area. The programme includes:

Level 2 (SIA) Door Supervision

Level 2 Emergency First Aid in the Workplace

Outline

Door Supervision - This course emphasises the realities of door supervision and the duties that are undertaken. The door supervision training course uses practical real life scenario’s to prepare individuals for the job and not just pass a test. After completing the door supervisors course and being issued with an SIA license a door supervisor can work in many areas of the security industry.

Emergency First Aid - This course is ideal for businesses needing to qualify staff to the level of Appointed Persons, now EFAW, to take responsibility for first aid in an emergency. It is also recommended for those staff giving support to First Aiders in larger organisations and can be tailored to meet the needs of the work environment. Continuous assessment of participants practical skills takes place throughout the course.

To offer the opportunity for an individual who may become the Appointed Person or Emergency First Aider to gain the skills and knowledge to provide quality and effective first aid whenever the need may occur. This is achieved through an understanding of the general duties, legal responsibilities and treatment principles of first aid.
