Richmond Training Associates have for a number of years been sucessfully supplying trainer courses. Initially the former CIEH Professional Trainer Certificates, then PTLLS and RLSS UK Lifesaving Trainer Assessor Awards. I have been an external moderator for this award.
We now predominately supply the Level 3 Award in Education and Training which has replaced the PTLLS Award (Though PTLLS is still a recognised teaching qualification). We also supply assessor and IQA Unit Awards.
The HQ Award in Education and Training is set at Level 3 There are no formal entry requirements for candidates who want to take this qualification other than be 19 years +, it does help if you are at Level 2 in English and maths, some ITC skills also help. It's ideal for teachers and company trainers entering further education teaching.
The training programme for the Level 3 Award in Education and Training is delivered in 30 hours of teaching time, over 4 days, with additional self-study and research.
The CIEH Level 3 Award in Educaion and Training comprises of 3 Units:
1. Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. (Assessed by written assignment).
2. Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training. (Assessed by preparing and delivering a micro-teach , self evaluation, peer evaluation and a written assignment).
3. Understanding assessment in education and training. (Assessed by written assignment).
There will be some distance learning with this course and on-course work and a post course assignment to be completed. Delegates will be supported through out the programme. The fee includes a good quality reference book. There are also other unit options
for those already treaching in the workplace.
