The Close Protection course is the highest level of security training you can receive. The skills are transferable across to other types of security work including working as a security officer and door supervisor. Once training is completed you can apply for the SIA Close Protection front line licence.
Subjects covered include roles and responsibilities of the Close Protection Operative, threat assessment and risk management, surveillance techniques and venue security operations.This accredited qualification has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA ‘Specifications for Learning and Qualifications for Close Protection Operatives’ and provides the necessary skills and knowledge for those who wish to apply for an SIA licence and work as a close protection operative.
