The aim of this advanced course is to equip those who attend with the skills to assess, plan and deliver therapeutic activities to a range of service users with a variety of mental health conditions.

1. Assess the residents activity needs in a way suitable to their service
2. Develop a person centred activity plan
3. Effortlessly access an endless stream of impressive activity ideas
4. Adapt programs to the different stages and types mental health issues
5. Adapt programs to medical needs of people
6. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs
7. Critically reflect on practice

Speaker/s
George Flaherty MSc MBA Ba Ed, started working within social care in 1995. He is now renowned for his ability to pass on practical skills to those that attend his seminars and courses across the UK, Europe and the USA.
Over the years George has managed and successfully marketed his own businesses. He has now passes the skills he has learnt to owners and managers of social care settings. George is often a guest speaker at conferences and seminars explaining how to fill care home beds and promote homes successfully.
He is a published author of many books. His latest book The Guide to Filling Care Home Beds is due for publication December 2011.
George currently lives across two continents, having homes in both Italy and the UK with his family. If you need any more information you can contact him on [email protected]
