MSP® Foundation Certificate

This 3 day class is for anyone who has a significant role within a programme environment and who wishes to gain a formal qualification, including:

• Programme Directors
• Senior Responsible Owners
• Programme Managers
• Business Change Managers
• Programme Office Manager
• Programme Office staff
• Project Executives and Managers

The Foundation Certificate is a pre-requisite for the MSP® Practitioner Certificate, and is therefore an ideal starting point for delegates who wish to take the Practitioner examination at a later date.

What is MSP®?

MSP® (Managing Successful Programmes) is a framework for managing change and delivering organizational benefits from a set of related projects. It is regarded as best practice in the UK and is used by government departments, local authorities, charities and commercial organizations to coordinate and direct programmes of all kinds, regardless of scope, timescale or budget.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course and delegates are not required to carry out any significant pre-course preparation as our blend of learning methods provide comprehensive preparation for the Foundation examination, which is taken at the end of the course.

However, the course is intensive and delegates are advised to undertake some revision work in the evenings during the course to prepare for the examination.

Objectives

A realistic case study scenario is used extensively throughout the course to allow delegates to consolidate their knowledge of MSP® through hands-on, syndicate work. Extensive use is also made of past papers to prepare delegates for the exam.

The course will enable delegates to:

• Understand the benefits and principles underlying a structured approach to programme management
• Recognise the processes required during change programmes which enable organisations to realise business benefits
• Prepare for and take the MSP® Foundation examination

The course fee includes a copy of the latest edition of the official MSP® Guide and examination fees.

• 75 questions (including 5 trial questions) - 35 correct answers or more are required to pass

1. We will provide you with unlimited refreshments, a restaurant lunch each day except the exam days wher we will provide sandwiches.
2. Free Re-sit if you fail.  In the unlikely event that you do not pass your exam you can sit the course again for no charge.  You will be expected to pay the cost of your exam and contribute £10 per day for your lunch and refreshments.  But, rest assurred, the resit tuition is free.
3. Your instructor will be on hand before you take your exam so any last minute questions can be answered.  The 'no-frills' companies replace the costly instructor with a cheap, invigilator only service; not good!
4. All your books, manuals and exams, pens pencils, highlighters and notation aids are included.  The only thing we add on is VAT, everything else in the price.  You can even check in a monster suitcase and speedy boarding is for everybody. :-)
