The Art of Astrological Interpretation

This class is an intermediate to advanced level of Astrology which is included with years 2 & 3's course fees. Students will need a basic level of English. All are welcome. Our students range from 18 to 80+!

Skills gained from this class will enable student astrologers to feel more confident with their interpretation skills and introduce them to new and creative techniques.

This instructive seminar will use various charts (some from the audience and horary techniques, and introduce 3 steps in the art of interpretation: 

(i) Becoming familiar with astrological symbols – listening to people ‘speak their charts’; 

(ii) Working to dialogue mentally with a chart and receive answers from it; 

(iii) Understanding different levels of interpretation, signification and correspondences.

An optional certificate exam is available for students to take in Year 2 of the LSA, and an optional Diploma exam is available for year 3 of the LSA.

Richard Swatton has been studying astrology for over twenty-five years and became a professional astrologer in 1988, a year before completing the three year training at the Centre for Psychological Astrology in London.

Presently he has a private practice in astrology and psychotherapy in south London.

As a teacher and group-facilitator Richard also holds courses, seminars and weekend workshops in astrology, and psychotherapy, for those interested in furthering their psycho-spiritual development.

He is an experienced and well qualified psychotherapist as well as being an accomplished jazz pianist. His personal development so far has included body-work, an extensive Jungian analysis (12 years), 5 years of psychotherapy training, yoga and 16 years of meditation.
