This seminar is included on our year one beginner/foundation course for students, though it is a class that can be enjoyed by students at intermediate and advanced levels interested in exploring the outer planets.
This seminar is designed to give a greater depth of understanding to the outer planets, improving chart interpretation skills and building a firm foundation for students knowledge of astrology.
This seminar is part of the Foundation & Beginners course (Year 1) at the London School of Astrology, where an optional certificate can be taken.
Speaker/s
Darby Costello was born in America and studied astrology in Boston in the 1960s. From there she went to Africa, where she worked with tribal healers and diviners. Now she lives in London where she teaches and writes books for the CPA, founded by Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas in 1984.
Her first book was 'The Astrological Moon'. Darby teaches and lectures throughout Europe and occassionally other parts of the world. Darby has recently been awarded a Master's Degree in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology by Bath Spa University. This has given her a greater taste for history and a deeper love of writing. However, her first love in astrology is doing charts and her worldwide clientele is the ground out of which her astrological inspiration is nourished. In 2013, Darby was honoured with The Charles Harvey Award for Exceptional Service to Astrology.
Frank Clifford began studying astrology and palmistry in 1989, and has appeared on radio, TV and in newspapers discussing both subjects.
In 1997, he founded Flare to publish books and to promote astro-palmistry in media fields.
Frank's own writings include 'British Entertainers: The Astrological Profiles' (2003), 'The Astrologer's Book of Charts' (2009), his Data Compendium for Solar Fire, the volumes 'Venus' (2000) and 'Mars' (2000), as well as Sun Sign columns and phonelines with Marie Claire, Reveal, Quick and Simple and Candis. He has been profiled in The Guardian, Good Health, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Express and numerous regional magazines.
In September 2012, Frank became the youngest recipient of the astrological community's lifetime achievement award: The Charles Harvey Award for Exceptional Service to Astrology.
His most recent books have been on hand analysis and have been published in seven languages: 'Palmistry 4 Today' (Rider, 2002, new edition: Flare, 2009) and 'Palm-Reading' (Hamlyn, 2004). Three further books, including 'Solar Arc Directions' and 'Getting to the Heart of Your Chart', were published in 2011-12. For more information on his talks and books, see www.flareuk.com
