This course follows the training principles of the WLGA All Wales Passport scheme, it will cover modules A - Theory and B - Inanimate Load Handling and Practical Application of Ergonomics.
Who should attend?This course has been designed for people within all sectors who come into contact with inanimate load handling and using equipment.
Course contentThe course will cover:
- Legislation, roles and responsibilities
- Risk Assessments
- Basic anatomy of the spine
- Ergonomics
- Inanimate load handling
- Practical Modules
By attending this course learners will receive information on how to maintain good posture when moving inanimate loads of all different weights. Learners will also understand the importance of following policies and procedures

AssessmentThroughout the course, learners will be assessed through question and answer sessions. Each learner will complete practical modules of which they will be assessed and also complete a short multiple choice test paper.
