Body Massage is probably the most popular of all complementary therapies and has a huge beneficial effect on the body. It is one of the most relaxing treatments to receive and really does leave your client feeling good.
This is a two and half day course that will teach you how to give a full body massage and covers both Swedish and Holistic Massage.
Course content: The course covers some theory but is mainly practical work and requires 12 case studies. By the end of the course you will know:
- History & benefits of massage
- How to carry out a consultation
- Equipment needed
- Massage movements
- Massage oils
- How to carry out a body massage
- Professional Ethics/Code of Practice/Working Environment
- Insurance and how to obtain it
Pre-requisite: A Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology (or equivalent) is required. Como offers an Anatomy and Physiology course undertaken by home study. However, you will need to have completed Anatomy and Physiology training before you start the Body Massage course.
