Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course delegates should be able to:

Understand the changes to Health and Safety legislation – particularly in the construction industry
Be aware of accident trends and prevention techniques
Understand the principle of working at height
Understand the changes to COSHH
Appreciate the need to be aware of stress related problems
Devise and use effective communication with the work force
Manage a site safely in compliance with existing legislation

Who Should Attend

Those who have previously completed their SMSTS and wish to renew their certificate. Delegates can undertake the refresher course within 6 months either side of their SMSTS expiry date.

Course Duration

The course is run for two consecutive days in a week.
