Throughout the world every year there are prosecutions for violations of dangerous goods regulations. Courts impose heavy fines on companies and individuals; with some individuals even being sentenced to serve prison sentences. Our course is designed to
give your staff a general overview of the Dangerous Goods Regulations and what it means to companies and their personnel.
OUTCOMES
On completion of the course delegates shall have:
The ability to identify their responsibilities for dangerous goods within the workplace.
An understanding of their own and their employer’s responsibilities with regards
to the legislation and regulations for dangerous goods.
Awareness of the associated dangers and be able to identify solutions.
The ability to identify the hidden dangers in everyday items.
Knowledge of the classification, packaging and labelling of goods and materials.
An understanding of the basics of dangerous goods regulations and requirements
for transport by air, road, rail and sea.
The ability to establish what further training staff may require to ensure compliance
with legislation
