Shoot the best footage with your DSLR or Mirrorless camera

A one day short course for those wanting to record the best “cinematic film look” using the latest cameras (DSLR and mirrorless). On the course you will explore the vast array of lenses and equipment associated with cinematography. Led by multi-award winning Creative Director Richard Wakefield, who has had many years of experience filming with many types of cameras, and has built up a reputation for filming multi-cam on solo shoots. He is eager to share his kitlist and workflows with extensive hands-on demonstrations.

This will be very much a hands-on and interactive workshop, with real-time filming utilising DSLR, mirrorless and equipment, and Richard at all points will talk through his thought processes about shot choices and how to think fast on your feet when faced with different real-world conditions.

There will be emphasis on making your footage look ‘cinematic’ whether it is for documentary or creative pieces, with the use of glide equipment and filming techniques.
