The YMCA Awards Level 2 Kettlebells is aimed at qualified fitness instructors and personal trainers wishing to acquire the additional knowledge and competencies required to plan and deliver safe and effective kettlebell exercises and training sessions.

Course Information

Entry Requirement: A recognised Level 2 Gym Instructor or Level 2 Exercise to Music qualification.

Course Content:

  • The history and origins of kettlebell training

  • The benefits of using kettlebells

  • Health and safety considerations for kettlebell training

  • How to incorporate kettlebell training into resistance sessions

What will you learn:

  • How to prepare, plan and instruct kettlebell training sessions

  • Effective communication skills

  • How to perform many kettlebell exercises, such as the clean, snatch, turkish get-up, swing and kettlebell variations

Units:

  • Health, safety and environmental considerations for boot camp fitness training

  • Planning and delivering bootcamp fitness training sessions
