Who is this course for?
The NEBOSH National Environmental Diploma is designed to equip people who have some experience in occupational health and safety and to undertake responsibilities in relation to environmental management in the workplace. It is also the ideal professional
qualification for those responsible for environmental management including senior managers whose corporate position makes them responsible for minimising the environmental impact of organisations activities.
This may be:
– Team leaders and supervisors
– HR professionals-
– Facilities managers
– Those working with young people in a training environment.
The 8 day course covers:
Unit ED1 Management of Environmental Risk. Unit ED2 Application of Environmental Risk Theory & Practice. Unit ED1 includes risk management, risk evaluation, environmental legislation, civil liability in relation to pollution, solid and liquid waste,
gaseous and particulate release, water management, nuisance, hazardous substances, land use, energy use and efficiency. Unit ED2 is a workplace based project involving an environmental audit of the activities of an organisation. ED1 & ED2 Blended Learning
with 8 days fully taught.
How is the course assessed?
Exam, One 3 hour paper (ED1) in June or December Practical (ED2) submitted in January or July.

This course is delivered in CIDO Innovation Centre Portadown.
