Who is this course for?

For holders of the NEBOSH General Certificate who want to achieve the NEBOSH Construction Certificate. The National Construction Certificate is designed for supervisors and managers within the construction industry and is designed to provide a sound breadth of underpinning knowledge that enables them to discharge more effectively their duties with respect to health and safety in construction activities.

 

Course divided into 3 parts

NGC1 – Mgt of H&S 5 days as General Certificate

NCC1 – Managing & controlling hazards in construction activities

NCC2 – Construction Health & Safety Practical Application (as NGC2)

The 4 day course covers:
A directed study and conversion course, 40 hours face to face and 60 hours directed study, and 4 days plus 1 exam day. Day 1 Construction Law and Management Day 2, Working at Heights, Day 3 Excavations and Demolition, Day 4 Exam Technique and Revision, Day 5
Exam.

How is the course assessed?

Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units and a practical assessment. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A certificate parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment.

This course is delivered in CIDO Innovation Centre Portadown.
