Tae kwon-Do was originally developed for adults yet over the last few years there has been a rise in children taking up the art due to good reasons, mainly teaching respect and discipline.
However, these same principles and more can be achieved by adults as well. Adults also need Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit. Learn new skills, meet new people and build friendships.

HSTS Taekwon-Do is the oldest ITF Taekwon-Do club in Hitchin and Hertfordshire, established in 1987. Under the leadership of Master Horan 8th Dan, who took over in 1990, the club has experienced remarkable growth. Today, we have branches in Hitchin, Stevenage, and Barton-Le-Clay, offering over 34 different classes throughout the week to more than 500 students.
At HSTS Taekwon-Do, we pride ourselves on maintaining a high instructor-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized attention for our members. With a team of 9 BTC registered Instructors and dedicated age-specific classes, we cater to individuals ranging from 4 years old to 60+. Our children’s classes are divided into 4-7 years, 8-12 years, and we also have classes for 13 years and adults. These age-specific classes allow us to maintain discipline while imparting the teachings of martial arts.
We are affiliated with prominent governing bodies in the UK, including the UTA, UK ITF, ITF, and BTC, which ensures that our club adheres to the highest standards of Taekwon-Do.
Master Horan, our chief instructor, possesses extensive experience, having attended seminars and instructor courses led by the late Gen.Choi Hong Hi, the founder of Taekwon-Do, as well as Grandmaster Choi Jung Hwa 9th Dan, Gen.Choi Hong Hi’s son. This enables him to teach the true techniques of Taekwon-Do without any distortion. Supported by a team of fully qualified BTC registered instructors and dedicated Junior Leaders (aged 11-17), Master Horan is committed to imparting his knowledge to all who wish to learn. ...
