Delegates will be instructed on steel and system scaffolds, ensuring you can work safely and know the basic components of scaffolds.
This course is designed for delegates who require a basic level of knowledge of these types of structures.
COURSE CONTENT
Delegates will participate in theory lessons and practical demonstrations/exercises, all of which are highlighted by the use of PPT/OHP and videos covering:
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Overview of supporting regulations
- Approved code of practice
- Components
- Reasons why scaffolds collapse
- Stability factors
- Safe working loads
- Inspection requirements
- Recording procedures/scafftag system
- Practical exercises/assessments
- Theory assessment paper (multiple choice)
Delegates who successfully complete this course will be issued with a certificate in line with the Health & Safety Commission Accrediting Bodies Forum 2000.
