This qualification is for learners wishing to qualify for the CSCS UK Ltd Green Card to access a construction site in the UK as a non-skilled worker. The Green Card is intended for those working in labouring
occupations only and from July 2014 CSCS introduced this new knowledge based qualification entitled the Health & Safety in a Construction Environment Award.
We are an established City & Guilds Approved Centre and offer this qualification through them. The scheme is called City & Guilds 6072-51 and enables a candidate to demonstrate understanding of key issues affecting safe working practices on UK construction sites. Successful completion of the course and external assessment will permit candidates to arrange the CSCS Health & Safety Assessment and obtain a Green Card.
Course description
The qualification covers the Health & Safety knowledge that is required to gain a CSCS Green Card for access to construction sites in the UK and is delivered from our centre in the recommended 21 hours required by City & Guilds through powerpoint presentations, exercises, case studies, group activities and practical demonstartions etc.
Assessment
The qualification requires an Evolve multiple choice closed book test 6072-501 covering all knowledge in the unit. 70 Minutes 45 Questions.
Materials Required
Comprehensive learning materials will be provided as part of the course fee along with refreshments throughout.
Entry Requirements
The awarding body does not set any entry requirements for this qualification. However our centre will require you to be at least 18 years old and have the ability to study at QCF level 1 with respect to english, maths and IT skills etc.
