The Beginners Taster Session - Dog Grooming Course

Pre Requirement: Non except a love of dogs. Dog grooming involves long periods or standing and can be heavy work so we recommend all students are physically fit and up to date with a Tetanus jab!

Firstly we recommend a Taster Session

This session is aimed at those students who wish to learn more about a career in dog grooming and this day course is  used as an induction to the grooming courses we run to see if grooming is the career for you. You will get some hands on experience throughout the session to see what grooming is all about and get an introduction into grooming basics, what you will learn on the Taster course, is you will observe other groomers at work, be able to ask questions..

We will also give you all the information you need to get you started , you can ask us all the questions you need!!!!!!!

Course duration: 1 x 4hr session 9.30am-1.30pm

Course fee: £115  for this session is used as an induction into grooming and is de-ducted

off booking a full  grooming course!!!!!.

For those who have some experience,  this can be, Not so much a course as an opportunity to polish up on skills already learned, or to gain further experience on specific breed trims. Perhaps you work alone and feel that you could improve your technique, or maybe you have been out of grooming for a while and want to take it up again but feel a little rusty. This Taster day is also designed for those students wishing to spend a day in a salon to see if dog grooming is something they would like to do, you are more than welcome to bring your own dog to practice on. We can work with you on a day by day basis to bring you up to date with grooming practices and to build up your speed. You will also have the opportunity to see and use the latest grooming equipment and learn some of the little time saving techniques to enhance your skills.
