This is a 22 day /120-142 hours full time course.
Each student has their own individual work station, with their own selection of tools, brushes, clippers and blade, and you work on your own dog, from start to finish.
From Grooming Novice to Professional Groomer!
Scruffy 2 Fluffy Dog Grooming offers a unique training opportunity for exceptional individuals interested in a rewarding career in the pet grooming industry. You can be grooming in just over 4 weeks and ready to launch your new career.
This is the course you will need if your aim is to start your own grooming business, or brush up on skills you already have. You will have 'hands- on' training from day 1 of the course on a wide variety of breeds and cross-breeds, and will be ready to get started with your own business by the end of the course.
This course gives students a chance to cover the basics in all aspects of dog grooming and the chance to handle a variety of breeds, big and small in a salon environment. You will also get to see and be involved in the day to day running of the salon.
This course covers:
Basic dog first Aid.
Breed recognition.
Grooming salon business management
Welcome, receive and care for customers.
Take client bookings over the telephone.
Each student will have their own support worker.
Students completing this course can go on and do their Level 2 Exam.
A record of skills and competencies is recorded throughout the course for the student to keep as evidence of training and skills acquired.
This course will not only allow you to achieve you level 2 qualification but will also give you the skill to work as a stylist straight away!!

- correct methods of Bathing ,Brushing and drying
- de-matting, grooming tools required.
- Correct handling & restraint of dogs
- Nail care, and ear cleaning.
- Health & Safety, Health checking, documenting, record keeping
- Correct methods of clipping, trimming & styling
- (Handling & lifting of dogs). moving to & from stations.
- Dog grooming manual with diagrams, and notes
- Theory for you to complete during your training.
- Full professional advice given daily...
