My name is Raj Pillay and I live and work in the Plymouth area. I am happily married with two children. I spent over 23 years in the Royal Navy (1974 - 1997), and since retiring, have been running my own driving school.

I have been a Department for Transport Approved Driving Instructor (D.V.S.A. A.D.I) since 1997, and driving since 1976. My ADI number is 221197. I am a GRADE 6 Driving Instructor and registered with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and am also a registered Pass Plus Instructor. (See Pass Plus page). I am a qualified Fleet Driver Trainer, Hold NVQ level 3 in Driving Instruction. I am also a DriveIQ Pro Coach (a2om Btec Award in driving Science). I am a Member of the Driving Instructors Association (DIA), South West Area Representative for DIDU (Delivering Information Developing Understanding) other members of which are also members of Institute Of Advanced Motorist (IAM), ROSPA and the ADI federation.
