Details

This is the entry level qualification for anyone who wishes to work in the rail industry. If you expect your work to involve maintenance or repair of the track or affect track geometry then you would need an extra level of competency. Please see TRACK INDUCTION. Full orange PPE will be required (Blue safety Hat, Top, Trousers and Steel toe lace up boots) Any delegate attednding the course without Full Orange PPE will not be able to complete the course. The Practical Element of this course requires the candidate to take a practical visit to the live operational railway under a Controller of Site Safety (COSS) so Full orange PPE is essential.

Outline

At the end of the training the delegate will be able to: Demonstrate their abaility to interpret correctly the Rule Book GE/RT 8000 Series or Guide to Personal Track Safety or PTS Key Point Card NR9922 and relevant local instructions when required to go on or near the line. Demonstrate their understanding and ability to follow a Safe System of Work.
