Intended for purchasing personnel who wish to take advantage of the benefits and opportunities of international trade but also to effectively manage the many complexities of international procurement.
This course comprehensively covers the added challenges of buying globally. Attendees will learn how to manage currency and payment, understand customs and import procedures and be able to ensure the enforceability of the buyer’s requirements across differing legal systems. The necessity for uniformity of understanding and interpretation of contractual obligations between the buyer and seller is emphasised together with practical methods of achieving these key requirements. Transportation, freight rates and the revised ICC Incoterms are also covered.
