Emergency First Aid at Work

Emergency First Aid at Work is an approved course which can be adapted to suit your needs and is ideal for lower risk businesses (in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981).
This course is run over one day (6.5 hours) in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere designed to aid delegate confidence. It includes both theory and practical sessions covering areas which include:
First Aid Priorities
Managing Incidents
Basic Life Support (inc using a defibrillator)
Examination of a Casualty
Control of Bleeding
Burns and Scalds
First Aid Kits
Recording and Reporting
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student; there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years
Karen has been a registered Childminder since 1998 and became a volunteer trainer with Girlguiding in 2012. Using her experience within the childcare sector and her knowledge gained delivering voluntary First Aid training, she set up KS Training which has gone from strength to strength.
She mainly specialises in Paediatric First Aid courses, but also deliver First Aid for Mental Health courses.
She still continues to work as a Registered Childminder, volunteers with Girlguiding and runs KS Training.
KS Training specialises in the delivery of excellent value training to local voluntary groups, churches, childminders, play groups, youth organisations, mother and toddler groups etc, as well as small/medium businesses and individuals who require good value training.
