The course will give you the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. The course is aimed at nominated workplace first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid.
All training focuses on life saving skills and the management of injury and illness. Training includes both theory and practical work using varied teaching methods, and students are given the opportunity throughout the course to discuss specific issues related to their particular place of work. In order to be awarded the First Aid at Work certificate students must pass the final assessment which includes both theory and practical aspects of the course.
After completing a final assessment successful candidates receive a certificate valid for three years.
This course is legally compliant with the current Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. Upon successful completion of this three day course, first aiders receive certification to allow them to practice for three years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary
