Aim and Objectives
This Masterclass is aimed at all practitioners acting in property transactions. Session three is specifically tailored for those who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge in respect of commercial property transactions.
Topics and Issues to be covered
- Module 3 This module will address commercial property transactions. It will deal with commercial lending and the corporate borrower. Property issues in insolvency, examinership and liquidation will be explored along with NAMA and related topics such as powers, execution, disclaimer and repudiation. Another tax session forms part of this programme with a particular focus on the obligations relating to VAT, CGT and CAT. Lastly commercial leases will be addressed with an examination of key issues such as rent review, alienation and repair. There will be guidance offered as to how to negotiate and handle disputes and the programme will touch upon the landlord and tenant reform proposals.
