The IOSH Managing Safely course is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation worldwide. This course will provide a basic, but broad and sound understanding of current health and safety requirements and principles.

The IOSH Managing Safely course is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation worldwide. This course will provide a basic, but broad and sound understanding of current health and safety requirements and principles.
The IOSH Managing Safely Course covers:
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding responsibilities
- Understanding hazards
- Investigating incidents
- Measuring performance
Assessment:
To complete this course, delegates must pass a multiple choice exam and a project. Delegates will need to achieve at least 36 points from a possible 60 to pass the exam and must be completed within 45 minutes. The IOSH Managing Safely Project demonstrates the student’s ability to conduct a risk assessment. Students need to achieve at least 23 points from a possible 38 points to pass the project.
Certification:
Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Managing Safely certificate. The IOSH Managing Safely certificate does not have an expiry date although IOSH recommends that candidates undergo a refresher course every three years.
