KANA studios is now opening its doors every Saturday from the 2nd of February for 2 hour Clay Taster sessions.
Our Clay Taster sessions are a great introduction to hand building with clay and we can accommodate complete beginners and more experienced folk. Two hours is just enough time for you to get a feel for the material, a little snippet into the wonderful world of ceramics!
You can choose from either of the two sessions
10am-12pm or 2pm -4pm.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We like to keep classes to a minimum, 6 people per class, to ensure a relaxing and rewarding experience for all.
In this two hour workshop you will be shown three different handbuilding techniques pinching, coiling and press moulding.
You are welcome to play and experiment as much as you like within these two hours. Then we ask you to choose your favourite two treasures for us to process for you i.e glaze and fire in our kiln :)
We will glaze your pieces in a beautiful white dipping glaze and they should take about 3 weeks to process.
COLLECTION
In about 3 weeks your items will be ready for collection. We will notify you by email and you can swing by the studio to collect your pieces..
Unfortunately once we have notified you, we can not keep items for longer than two weeks due to limited storage.
Join us for a one-off workshop as an introduction to clay as a material and make your own small pieces to walk away with. Or go a little further and try a bigger project with our 3 week classes. Both classes are for all levels.

All classes are for all levels, no previous exeprience is needed.
