Making a short Film
The best and most rewarding way for a group to learn filmmaking is by making a short film. Therefore this part of the morning session will be dedicated to making a film using some of the methods and ideas outlined at the beginning of the session.
Our work with the group is very ‘hands on’ and each member will have an important role to play as part of the crew e.g. operating the camera, sound equipment, clapper board etc. Crew roles will be rotated as much as possible so that the group will experience
every aspect of the process.
The group will use broadcast quality equipment and state of the art technology and be mentored by a professional director (Gary Halliday) and one of our team of senior Camera Operator/Mentors.
Lunch 1.00pm-2.00pm
Afternoon Session Editing Workshop 2pm-4.30pm

The finished film will be uploaded to our social media channels and will be available for student’s to upload to their channels.
A handout covering the workshop will be given to all students.
