Our art course is designed to explore both the 2D and 3D to ensure that a wide range of mediums and techniques are covered. The first project will work with acrylics on a canvas and focus on a specific artist. Following this, we will cover watercolours, inks, pastels, oil pastels, clay, papier mâché, metal tooling and much more! Alongside the main project, we will be working on core skills such as visual memory, fine motor control, visual perceptual and spatial awareness. We do this through a combination of different activities primarily involving patterns.
art-K has been running since 2000 and we opened a club in Hampstead in April 2018! We provide a fun, creative atmosphere where children aged 6-16 and adults can learn artistic skills.
Our aim is for children to explore and experiment with a range of paints- watercolour, acrylics, pastels, inks- and to develop their drawing skills in many different ways. We also do 3D projects such as papier mâché, story boxes, 3D insects, clay.
We also have a strong focus on developing children's visual vocabulary as many children say that they can copy, but they can't draw from their head realistically.
