Level 2 NVQ Diploma Beauty Therapy

This course will provide you with the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as a junior beauty therapist in a beauty salon. Throughout this course you will ensure responsibility to reduce risks to health and safety, promote additional services or products to clients, develop and maintain your effectiveness at work, provide facial skincare treatment, enhance the appearance of eyebrowsand lashes, carry out waxing services and provide pedicure and manicure services. The course is most suited to learners who wish to embark on a career as a beauty therapist.

No formal qualification or previous experienced necessary but a good level of English together with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm to succeed within the industry are helpful. An informal interview with the course coordinator is necessary to assess your learning requirements.

This qualification may lead directly into employment in the beauty therapy industry as a beauty therapist in a salon. It also provides suitable progression opportunities to further advanced studies such as Level 3 NVQ Diploma Beauty Therapy or one of our individual level 2 and 3 courses.

There's no fixed time to complete this course, it tends to varies from learner to learner. We will help you complete the course at your own comfortable pace. At your informal interview, the course tutor will be able to tell you how long roughly the course will take you to complete, once your learning requirements and the amount of time you can realistically commit to the course has been established.

Practical performance, assignments, written and oral questions are included in the assessment strategy. Candidates will also produce a portfolio containing evidence of competent assessment as required by the awarding body.
