Level 2 Certificate In Nail Technology

This qualification will enable learners at a minimum to gain skills, knowledge and understanding required in order to perform manicure and pedicure treatments on the hands and feet to improve the condition and appearance of the skin and nails. A range of nail technology techniques including the use of nail enhancement products also form part of this qualification, which will equip learners with the required attributes, skills, knowledge and understanding needed to perform professional nail treatments for clients via employment or self employment in the nail services industry.

No formal qualification or previous experienced necessary but a good level of English together with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm to succeed within the industry are helpful.  An informal interview with the course coodinator is necessary to assess your learning requirements.

This qualification may lead directly into employment in the beauty therapy industry as a Nail Technician. It also provides suitable progression opportunities to further studies in level 3 courses.

There's no fixed time to complete this course, it tends to varies from learner to learner. We will help you complete the course at your own comfortable pace. At your informal interview, the course coordinator will be able to tell you how long roughly the course will take you to complete, once your learning requirements and the amount of time you can realistically commit to the course has been established.

Practical performance, assignments, written and oral questions are included in the assessment strategy. Candidates will also produce a portfolio containing evidence of competent assessment as required by the awarding body.
