Level 3 Award In Advanced (Intimate) Waxing Techniques

This course will enable learners to gain skills, knowledge and understanding required in order to perform hair removal treatments on intimate areas of the body for men and women using advanced waxing techniques. Learners will gain skills and knowledge and the understanding needed to perform professional advanced (intimate) waxing treatments for clients via employment or self employment in the beauty therapy industry as a waxing specialist. This qualification is most suited to learners who wish to advance in their profession.

•     Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon.
•     Client care and communication in beauty-related industries.
•     Intimate waxing for female clients.

No formal qualification or previous experienced necessary but a good level of English together with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm to succeed within the industry are helpful. An informal interview with the course coordinator is necessary to assess your learning requirements.

Level 3 Award in Advanced (Intimate) Waxing Techniques provides learners with the necessary understanding and skills to provide advanced (intimate) waxing treatments for clients. Learners can progress into other areas of the beauty industry and or directly into employment or self employment with this qualification. Progression opportunities exist in the form of other specialist vocationally related qualifications at Level 3.

There's no fixed time to complete this course, it tends to varies from learner to learner. We will help you complete the course at your own comfortable pace. At your informal interview, the course tutor will be able to tell you how long roughly the course will take you to complete, once your learning requirements and the amount of time you can realistically commit to the course has been established.

Practical performance, assignments, written and oral questions are included in the assessment strategy. Candidates will also produce a portfolio containing evidence of competent assessment as required by the awarding body.
