Overview:
In this workshop you will learn about the range of free digital marketing tools, including social media, for employer and learner engagement. We look at how SEO has changed and the type of digital activities that bring the best results. This is a non-technical workshop that gives practical advice from a presenter who not only knows the sector, but has also launched a successful e-commerce business.

It is not new for the majority of businesses and individuals to receive and act on information using technology, but what continues to change is the way we are expected to use the technology to reach our customers. Keeping up with current trends and changes to Google best practise is challenging.

Providers need to be maximising the opportunity that the internet and devices bring by integrating digital methods into their traditional marketing and communication strategies.

Objectives:

  •     Learn about the effective use of a range of e-tools and social media for effective employer and learner engagement
  •     Raise awareness of digital marketing activity that brings results and the challenges to overcome
  •     Learn about the importance of SEO and the tools to support SEO
  •     Raise awareness of tools to reduce social media activity workload
  •     Raise awareness of digital marketing evaluation tools
  •     Understand the importance of a digital marketing strategy and how to plan one

The Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) is the leading trade association for vocational learning and employment providers in Britain.  The majority of its 670+ members are independent private, not-for-profit and voluntary sector training and employment services organisations.  Membership is open to any provider committed to quality provision and it includes 38 FE colleges involved in work based learning. AELP Members train 75% of England's 850,000 apprentices currently on programme.

Over 70% of the Work Programme prime contractors are AELP members with many other members delivering the programme as sub-contractors.   AELP providers currently engage with almost 300,000 employers across the country and last year they helped 117,240 learners complete an apprenticeship.
