Hand Arm Vibration Awareness Training Course
Details
Exposure to vibratory equipment can cause a range of conditions collectively known as hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), as well as specific diseases such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, (HAVS) is serious and disabling. It is estimated that nearly 2 million people are at risk due to prolonged exposure to vibratory equipment used in the workplace.
Damage from HAVS can include symptoms of numbness, tingling and severe pain from painful finger blanching attacks. HAVS can have a significant impact on people’s lives including the inability to do fine work with many sufferers having to stop work entirely.
