Fire Marshal and Warden Online Training Course

Fire safety in the workplace is important business. Legislation, regulations and standards require employers to provide proper exits, firefighting equipment, emergency plans and employee training to prevent fire deaths and injuries in the workplace.

There were 334 fire-related fatalities in Great Britain during 2021/22, 23 more than in the previous reporting year when there were 311. In the early 2000s, the annual number of fire fatalities was consistently over 500, with numbers gradually falling throughout that decade.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO) is the main piece of legislation governing fire safety in buildings in England and Wales. The FSO applies to all workplaces. It places legal duties on anyone in control of these premises (the Responsible Person - usually the owner or landlord) to undertake a fire risk assessment and put in place and maintain general fire precautions.

The course will inform you of your responsibilities concerning fire prevention and emergency procedures.

This course consists of six sections including interactive questions to ensure you have understood the content.

6. Test.
