Giving appropriate and immediate emergency treatment has been shown to reduce suffering, improve recovery and could save your pet’s life in those first vital minutes before you are able to get veterinary assistance.
The course is designed as an introduction to basic first aid for your dog. For a more comprehensive course please see our First Aid for Dogs course, which is equivalent to 6 hours verifiable CPD. These courses all conform to the latest RECOVER guidelines for veterinary CPR.
It is impossible to cover all eventualities within this course, or to equip you with the knowledge and skills to appropriately diagnose and treat in unpredictable real life situations. If you suspect illness or injury, you should always seek immediate professional medical or veterinary advice.
