Details

A foundation course for complete beginners needed if you want to study other courses such as massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, sports massage, cranio sacral therapy, chiropractic, osteopathy or physiotherapy. This is an ideal course for anyone that has no qualifications in the industry. No formal training is required although a good knowledge of written and verbal English is desirable.

This is an intensive fast track course enabling students to qualify in Anatomy & Physiology within 5-6 months studying at the weekend in East Grinstead. This is a stand alone module.

Please note: Students seeking the ITEC L3 Holistic Massage + Anatomy & Physiology Diploma must complete both courses to gain the certificate.

On this course you will learn:

Human Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology

Medical terminology
Various body systems including cells and tissues, skin, skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and urinary
Basic pathology of each of the above systems

Assignments and Assessments

There will be quite a lot of time required for you to study at home – a minimum of 5 hours per week
Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Theory Paper lasting 1 hour

After Qualification

Following successful completion of this course, therapists have gone on to work in clinics, cruise ships, health clubs, hotels, hospices, hospitals, care homes, do home visits or treat their own clients from within their own practice.

And moved on to study further courses such as:

Reflexology

Indian Head Massage
Sports Massage
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
