Outline
The door supervisor course is split into four sections. The first of these sections looks into the security industry as a whole which includes a wide variety of subjects but is not limited to; Introduction to SIA and security, Communication, Emergency Procedures, Fire Procedures, Health and Safety and the law. This section has a 40 question multiple choice exam at the start of the second day.
The Second component of the course is specifically related to the Door Supervisor covering; Behavioural Standards, Admission policies & Search Procedures, Drug Awareness, The law in more depth, Arrest procedures, incident reporting and safety & Security. This section has a 45 question multiple choice exam on the third day.
The third component of this award is Conflict Management. The course content includes the law relating to violence at work, risk assessment, risk reduction, dynamic risk assessment, responses to threat, the basics of communication, non-verbal communication, defusing high risk conflict and support and learning from conflict. This section also has a 20 question multiple choice exam, which must be successfully completed.
The fourth component of this is a Physical Intervention Course. This course compliments the Conflict Management course by going more in depth as well as teaching candidates how to use different types of disengagement techniques as well as escorting/eviction methods. This section has a 23 Question True or False exam and a practical assessment.
We provide a number of different services including training and consultancy. We provide courses to individuals and businesses to develop their knowledge and gain qualifications in Security Training, First Aid Training and Health & Safety Training in Oxford, around the UK, and Worldwide.
Individuals can attend at our training centres and businesses can choose to either send their employees to one of our venues or can schedule for one of our trainers to deliver courses on their own site.
