This workshop is one of a number designed especially for older people living independently in shelter housing, supported living or community care settings.
Outline
The aim of the training
By the end of the day those who attend will be able to develop and prepare healthy eating plans that will help reduce the effects of age
The learning outcomes
Those who attend the course will be able to:
1. Identify the effects of age on the human body
2. Identify the mechanics of good nutrition
3. The adaptions needed for optimum nutrition as you age
4. The adaptions that can be made for different chronic illnesses
5. Develop a personal nutrition plan
Speaker/s
Over the years George has managed and successfully marketed his own businesses. He has now passes the skills he has learnt to owners and managers of social care settings. George is often a guest speaker at conferences and seminars explaining how to fill care home beds and promote homes successfully.
He is a published author of many books. His latest book The Guide to Filling Care Home Beds is due for publication December 2011.
