IOSH People Handling for Practicing Trainers

Previously called the IOSH People Handling Train the Trainer Refresher, this course is specifically designed to refresh the knowledge and skills that are required to deliver manual handling training to their own staff.

Menter has worked closely with the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) to develop a course which this prestigious awarding body was happy to put their name to.

The course covers:

• Teaching skills – To be able to train to an audience
• Theory based information on manual handling
• Practical elements of manual handling
• Micro-teach
• Examination

By attending this course learners will refresh their skills of carrying out techniques and transfers when training their employees and also ensure that their knowledge is up to date.

Throughout the course, learners will have sessions of questions & answers, alongside activities and exercises. Learners will present a micro-teach presentation along with completing an examination paper at the end of the course.

Learners are to have a Manual Handling Train the Trainer certificate, within 3 years.
