What is the course and what does it include?
The purpose of the course is to prevent confined space injuries and to identify potential workplace tasks that need improvement. Also to familiarise delegates with the importance of planning any work in confined spaces prior to entry, how emergencies can arise and the importance of following emergency procedures.

The course includes:

✓ General hazards associated with confined spaces
✓ Safe systems of work including risk assessment
✓ Syndicate exercise
✓ Responsibilities of a work control - permit issuer
✓ Responsibilities of a work control - permit acceptor
✓ Responsibilities of a standby person
✓ Before entering and working in a confined space - key points to consider

The standard course duration is half a day. The course can be tailored to include your companies internal procedures and documentation, which extends the course to a full day.
