Want to have a go at training animals, not just dogs?

Learn how to train dogs and other species effectively by understanding learning theory and its application. This is a part theory and part practical course with homework, research and projects.

Once you have learned animal behaviour and understand the application of animal learning theories then you can start to train any animal, you just need to understand the species.

In fact we think this course is excellent for dog trainers - why? because it makes you stop and think more about 'how to train and how to assess your own performance'.  Dog trainers can get into bad habits, a bit like driving - if you then have to think about working with another species this makes you realise how refreshing it is to really think about what, why and how to apply your training skills once again.

Be prepared to produce a student portfolio to a high standard with plenty of tutorial support.

Mostly small group training on this course. Part time, 6 teaching sessions,  Saturday afternoons from 2.30 to 5pm plus homework and  assessments.
