Fire Safety legislation requires everyone in the workplace to be made aware of the risks and their responsibilities with regards to fire safety. Our course is designed to give your staff the knowledge and confidence to act safely in the event of a fire, and to aid fire prevention in your work place.

OUTCOMES
On completion of the course delegates should be able to:
 Identify their responsibilities for fire safety within the workplace.
 Explain the reasons for fires occurring and ways to prevent them from happening.
 Identify common causes of fire
 Understanding of fire risk assessment.
 Awareness of the additional arrangements for people with long and short term
disabilities.
 Understand and communicate the theory and science of fire.
 Know the methods of extinguishing fires and which extinguisher is correct for the
type of fire.
 Understand the role and responsibilities of a fire marshal.
 Knowledge of how to safely store gas cylinders and dangerous or hazardous materials and substances.

COURSE BASIS
No pre-requisites or prior knowledge required.
 Designed to be completed as a "self development correspondence course", this means that the delegate can decide how, when and where to carry out their studies and can ensure the delegate can prioritise their time, both at home and at work.
 This is a modular course and is provided via an online portal where the module, questionnaire and certificate can be accessed.
 Delegates emailed upon completion.
 Module is completed with a questionnaire.
 Upon completion the questionnaire is returned to ALM for marking.
 Access to qualified tutors via email/phone.
