The Driver CPC certification is now a standard part of professional driving for those professionals who operate a lorry, bus, or coach. It is a standard established by the European Union to ensure all professional drivers are both competent and proficient.
Drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years to keep their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) up to date. This can be completed by attending five modules together or attend an annual 7 hour module to comply with the 35 hours of periodic training. CPC certification is now legally required for the majority of professional Drivers holding Category C or Category D licences.
Modules Available
- Drivers Hours and Tachographs (7 hours) regular public courses taking place in Bradford and Keighley
- Emergency First Aid – Driver CPC (7 hours) regular public courses taking place in Bradford and Keighley
- Manual Handling & Fire Safety (7 hours)
- Safe Loading & Health and Safety Awareness (7 hours)
- Driver Well-being & Safe Fuel Efficient Driving (7 hours)
(There is no formal assessment for these modules)
Upon successful completion of any of the above modules, you will receive a JAUPT approved Driver CPC certificate for the module and hours completed. (In association with Northern Health and Safety Training Services)
Dual Accreditation
Delegates attending the Emergency First Aid Module have the option to gain an accredited recognised Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2 qualification, in addition to completing the hours required for this one day Driver CPC module. This way you will become a qualified first aider in your workplace as well as gaining hours for your periodic training. Two certificates will be awarded for only attending one course! And you can do this for only an extra £10 plus VAT.
