This is a 'Category A' Online Asbestos Awareness Training course, which offers affordable and relevant asbestos awareness training to organizations’, sole traders and contractors. Asbestos Awareness Training is required by law to be undertaken by all those working on or disturbing the fabric of any building built before the year 2000. So asbestos awareness training is essentialif you are a tradesman or contractor, including:

You can take this asbestos awareness training course online at your own pace. If you wish, you can complete the asbestos awareness course in one sitting or over several days or weeks. Once you have completed the asbestos awareness training course a training certificate will be automatically generated for you to download and save onto your computer for onward emailing or to be printed as a hard-copy. Our online asbestos awareness training course allows you to complete the RoSPA Approved Asbestos Awareness training at your own pace, in your own home, in your office, on site or even at remote location. Upon completion of the online training course you will receive an Asbestos Awareness Training certificate which you can use to demonstrate your training in Asbestos Awareness

The asbestos awareness training course is an interactive training course and can be used as either the main training course or as refresher training for those who have previously completed asbestos awareness training.

The main objectives of the asbestos awareness course are:

To state the uses of asbestos and why it is dangerous
To highlight the harmful effects of asbestos
To identify asbestos containing materials and where these materials may be found
To highlight control procedures when working with asbestos
To show how asbestos is managed in the workplace
To provide examples of tasks and occupations most at risk
To illustrate common locations and types of asbestos materials
To outline how to dispose of asbestos waste
To outline the procedures for dealing with an asbestos related emergency
To detail who is responsible for reporting asbestos materials
