No previous skills or knowledge are required to undertake this course, other than sufficient English skills to complete the course work.
You can start your career with this course and then you can add to your skill base with our Level 4 counselling course (coming soon), or undertake our Level 3 Hypnotherapy Certificate Course, moving on if you choose, to undertake our Level 4 Hypnotherapy Diploma Course.

Outline
This distance learning introductory course will cover the following:-
- What is counselling, the history of counselling, the language of counselling.
- The initial consultation, boundaries and ethics, what makes a good Counsellor.
- Running sessions, dealing with difficult clients, transference, counselling theories.
- Common presenting conditions, general approach, self awareness .
- Grief and bereavement, counselling the bereaved, depression vs grief, theories of grief and it’s management.
- Stress, distress and anxiety, causes, symptoms and treatment, depression, turning from negative to positive, self development.
Throughout the course you will be expected to complete all tasks and assignments, keep a portfolio of everything you do, including reading, working with others, research etc. Keeping a portfolio will help you develop your skills and knowledge as well as being very helpful when you are ready to set up in practice.

These distance and blended learning courses are accredited by the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists) ACCPH. Graduates from these courses will be eligible to join the ACCPH.
The Diploma in Hypnotherapy offered by Indigo Inspirational Training has been assessed and accredited at Practitioner Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK). Graduates from this course are eligible for professional registration with the General Hypnotherapy Register (the GHSC’s Registering Agency) at full Practitioner status, together with the acquisition of the industry-based award – the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP). ...
