Astutis is committed to helping clients create a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture within their organisations by providing tailored advice and market-leading training solutions in the classroom and online, anywhere in the world.
Quality
The Astutis training team is highly qualified with experience of working in health, safety and environmental roles in a wide range of sectors, enabling them to draw on their professional experience with delegates demonstrating practical application of concepts.
Our commitment to delivering a quality service is well demonstrated by our market-leading NEBOSH, IOSH & IEMA pass rates; Astutis continuously achieves pass rates 20% higher than national averages with consistently positive feedback from its clients.
The training consultants are highly qualified professional safety practitioners with a range of the following qualifications and memberships of professional institutions: NEBOSH Diploma, IEMA Associate Certificate, PGCE, Masters, CDM, City and Guilds Further
and Adult Education Teaching Certificate 7307 CMIOSH - chartered with IOSH, RMaPS – Registered CDMC Member of the Association for Project Safety.
To ensure the quality of the service consistently exceeds customer expectations, all delegates must complete a course evaluation after each unit. The results of all course evaluations and any other feedback received, is regularly reviewed with procedures
in place to continually improve and address any shortfalls. Regular monitoring and evaluation of Astutis procedures takes place to ensure a high quality customer experience and underpins the company culture.
We are audited by the accrediting bodies on a regular basis and so are fully aware of any syllabus changes required in order to ensure currency of data. In addition, we are ISO:9001 accredited and our own Quality Management System drives ongoing positive
change and development to our systems, processes and product.
Delivering Excellence
Astutis boasts a hugely loyal client base. We are one of the largest providers of IOSH and NEBOSH courses in the world with an unrivalled reputation for providing quality training through both classroom and e-learning.
Astutis Consultants
Astutis employs its own full-time consultants, who are CMIOSH for accredited health and safety training and MIEMA or Chartered Environmentalists for environmental training. Each trainer comes with a rich career history in a host of different company backgrounds,
including Rail.
All of our consultants who are involved in training delivery and support have formal teaching/training qualifications, such as PGCE and PTLLS, as well as being approved by the appropriate accrediting bodies (NEBOSH, IEMA and IOSH).
In addition to their own personal professional development activities, Astutis regularly briefs our training team on the following:
- Changes to legislation and materials.
- Best practice and topic specific issues.
- Additional consultancy work, enabling them to practice their profession with clients on a host of customer projects and initiatives.
It is important to note that our Health and Safety experts all have an obligation to keep themselves up to date on legislation changes (through CPD) and so this intellect is always imparted back into our training programmes.
Astutis also has two full time Learning Designers working closely with our trainers on teaching best practices, both of whom are qualified teachers with post graduate teaching qualifications.
Astutis Materials
As mentioned previously, the full suite of Astutis’ course materials are developed in-house by our experienced team of learning designers and multimedia developers to ensure quality and currency of information. Exam preparation is an integral element of
all course material to ensure a successful outcome for both the client and delegate.
Astutis Administration
The Astutis customer learning experience is fully supported by an operational team that ensure the quality of the service is seamless, from initial enquiry through to course evaluation.
Choice
To ensure all customer needs and budgets are catered for, a range of learning solutions are provided.
Online learning
Astutis’ online learning is an ideal solution for those looking to achieve a health and safety qualification in their own time and environment. Our in-house team is able to develop any content that is required by clients, with a number of interaction levels
that can be created dependant on the client’s timescales, purpose and budget.
Unlike our competitors, we employ our own team, rather than outsourcing this work, as this enables us to ensure both the quality and currency of the information within the courses and provides delegates with the reassurance that there is someone at the end
of a phone (or email) should they require assistance.
Delegates simply receive their access codes and, providing they have an internet connection, they can access the training 24/7 anytime, anyplace, anywhere. End of course assessments are also submitted online, removing any administrative burden. A full-time
Administration resource is provided to our learners so that all questions are answered immediately from an IT, or indeed course content point of view.
To support the training, Managers will be provided with access to an online facility which will allow them to monitor the progress of each individual delegate from the moment they first log on, through to the completion of their course. We also provide the
option of receiving a weekly ‘spreadsheet’ report if preferred.
Classroom
Classroom training at 17 carefully selected locations across the UK; this includes residential courses.
All of our classroom course materials are developed in-house by our experienced team of chartered safety practitioners to ensure consistently high quality materials, representative of the latest regulatory, legislative and syllabus developments in this ever-changing
market.
A wide range of innovative training techniques is used by our own employed consultant tutors to suit all delegates. Interactive learning underlines the training comprising syndicate projects, discussions and problem solving using case studies of typical
workplace scenarios. In addition, exam preparation is an integral element of the course to ensure a successful outcome.
All of our trainers are highly qualified with the NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum requirement with experience in health and safety roles. This experience allows them to bring the training syllabus and information to life and the theory to be transferred directly
into the work place.
All Astutis Trainers are employed based on three key skill sets:
- Health, Safety and Environmental Qualifications and Knowledge.
- Real World’ experience.
- Ability to Teach.
Blended Learning

keeping your investment safe and the delegate on track.
Elements of our online learning can also be integrated into the classroom to support course materials and ensure a comprehensive understanding from delegates. This modern and innovate twist on classroom training has always been received with great feedback.
E-learning with multimedia rich and interactive learning with tutor support, progress checks, forums and webinars to complement the training.
Distance learning is a very flexible study option at a much lower price. With additional resources available at the click of a mouse, delegates will be able to access further study on the more in-depth topics.
